This shelf exists because half the people who come in on a Friday need something for that night and do not want to spend forty dollars on it. Nobody is going to talk you up.
Wrapping, gift cards and holds
Wrapping
Free, always, and it is real wrapping with ribbon rather than a bag with tissue shoved in the top. We keep a card drawer and will write it if you would rather not.
Gift cards
Any amount, no expiration, no fee taken off the balance. They work on the sale rack too.
Holds
We will hold anything at the register until close on the day you call. No deposit.
The downtown days worth planning around
- Shop Local Late
- Thursday evenings, downtown stays open until at least 7. The easiest night to get in and out without a crowd.
- The Chocolate Tour
- The Downtown Excelsior Partnership's annual walk, $25 for stops at more than twenty-five downtown businesses. We are one of them.
- Downtown wine tasting
- More than twenty stops along Broadway, boutiques and galleries and eateries pouring. Traditionally our busiest evening of the year.
- Holiday open house
- Cocktails, snacks and a small gift down the block in December. Come for the gifts, stay because parking is already handled.
Dates move every year. They are posted at the register and on the door as soon as the Partnership sets them.

The Hall of Waters, the coffee shop, the mercantile and the jeweler are all inside one block, so you can park once and finish the whole list.
